To submit your application for the 2023 BCAB Humanitarian Award, your organization will be required to fill out the form below and provide supporting documents outlining your eligibility for the award based on the criteria as outline by the Humanitarian Award Committee of the BCAB Board of Directors.

Requirements of Application:

The BCAB Humanitarian award recipient will include Public Service Announcement aired on member radio and television stations across the entire province. To that end, it is important that organizations applying for this award are relevant to the entire population of British Columbia whether they live downtown Vancouver, on Vancouver Island, Prince George or any other area of the province. If you are applying and cannot offer a firm YES to the question below, your application may not be reviewed by the Humanitarian Judging committee.

Is your organization relevant to the entire BC population?
For example, you must have programs available to all/most cities in BC, including downtown Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Prince George or any other area of the province.

Content of Application:

Please describe outcomes and if available provide storyboards or scripts of creative concepts and key messages that this award would allow you to communicate to the listeners and viewers of BC. If your campaign is an existing one please provide audio and video samples.
Do you have Audio or Video Samples are available?
If you have audio, an email will be sent asking you to submit your sample material at a later date.
If you are the successful Humanitarian Award recipient, you must provide finished creative material in the appropriate format, MP3 for Radio and broadcast-quality file-based video for television. Please confirm that your organization has adequate resources for funding of creative material. If available, please provide the name of your advertising agency.
Does your proposed campaign duplicate existing initiatives by other charitable organizations or any agency of government?

Awards Process:

Only the successful applicant will be notified if they are receiving the BCAB Humanitarian Award. The successful applicant will be announced publicly at the 2023 BCAB Conference May, 4 in Richmond, BC. Note: No Third Party sponsors will be included on campaign.
