New BCAB-BCIT Business Training Partnership

In its effort to assist members be the best, BCAB has partnered with BCIT’s Corporate & Industry Training department of the School of Business to offer continuing skills development.

"Any company looking to develop the skills of their employees, whether from a soft skills or technical skills point of view, BCIT can help," says Veronica Madore, Manager, Corporate & Industry Training, BCIT School of Business.
She says she’s excited about the new partnership with BCAB and is confident BCIT's approach will appeal to members. “We offer our clients group training of between 10 and 20 participants, where the per head cost is reduced substantially and the training efficiency is high."
Madore says BCIT's Corporate & Industry Training department works with all of BCIT's schools to offer both credit and non credit courses and accreditation in any subject already offered by BCIT in its part time studies programs.

She says that ongoing training for employees has many benefits in all industries. "We are working with companies as they struggle with the retention of good employees and the development of those they think have potential.” Madore notes more companies are recognizing that the investment of training dollars enhances productivity and effectiveness in every aspect of their business, regardless of industry and members of BCAB also stand to benefit.

Madore says corporate training is delivered by subject-matter experts, with experience in management skills, customer service skills, leadership and workplace skills. She says BCIT's flexible approach is key to its success. “All courses can be customized to suit the needs and schedules of the business and can be delivered in a number of different ways including on site, online or via webinar.”
